I tend to gravitate towards concepts of time in my work— I’m fascinated by how we experience it and the sorts of stories that break it. I write about it often and it was one of the major themes of my solo show. In my personal readings and research, I've found many examples in which time is described as a river— and I really like that for both its vivid imagery and interesting symbolism.
This piece explores the concept of backward flowing time through reversed, flipped, and inverted imagery flowing water.
