Vertigo & Caligo is a piece of experimental video art. It was created to be viewed in a gallery space for my solo show "Monophobia & Monophilia".
This piece is about the feeling I sometimes experience where it's like everything and everyone is moving so much faster than me. Nearly all of my friends are married. They've gotten PhDs, moved up in their careers, and bought their first homes. Some are having their second children. And I know my life isn't defined by some list of grand accomplishments but I feel like I'm still just here. I am moving forward but sometimes it feels like I'm moving in slow-motion as the rest of the world blurs around me.
